I paint with underglaze on baked ceramic tile as well as using tape and brush on board and canvas.
Update - mid-October 2016: It was fun to participate in ArtSlope, with a great assist from Vic at Don Chingon, on Flatbush & Remsen.
I'll be selling prints of my painting, Antique Industry, at Gowanus Souvenir (543 Union Street, directly across from Ample Hills), starting October 21. On October 29, they're hosting a Kentile sign party, and, as we all know, there's no party like a Kentile sign party!
On October 14-16, I had several new glazed ceramic tile pieces, including Down & Out, up at the Strong Rope Brewery, 574 President Street (right off 4th Avenue, toward 3rd) as part of the (always exciting) Gowanus Open Studios. Jason, the Strong Rope brewmaster, has been extremely helpful. Also, amazing beer.
Also on October 14-15, a new glazed ceramic tile piece, Testudo, radiating terp power, sold at auction at the University of Maryland College Park Family Weekend.
My painting, 1/another=the other, remains up at the St. Joseph's College art show Plus ca change through October 29. I had a wonderful experience speaking there on October 15 as part of the artists panel - true synergy with the participating artists.
Also on the weekend of the 14-16, Faith Pennick shot scenes for her film Haunted, featuring my outline painting, Haunted. I am also donating a super-sized version of Antique Industry to her upcoming fundraising campaign.
Thanks for looking in,
